Mike has been part of the Sports and Gaming industry since 1986, starting his career with National Sports Services. With BS degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from California State University at Northridge, he used his programming and analytical skills to develop programs predicting sports outcomes—well before modern analytics and AI.
Nicknamed "The Network" by ESPN radio broadcaster Zig “Ziggy” Fracasi, Mike became known for his detailed sports analysis and betting strategies. In 1987, he created the MLB Pitcher Fast Facts file, which was featured in over 70 newspapers across the U.S. and Canada.
Mike also applied his predictive skills to win Station Casinos' mini NFL contest, securing a $10,000 grand prize. Now, he shares his personal sports picks online, including his Sports Network Computer Play.

The Western Conference semifinals matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves will take place Thursday night at 8:30 PM ET in the Target Center located in Minneapolis. The Golden State Warriors took a series lead of 1–0 after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 99–88 in Game 1 while Stephen Curry departed early because of a left hamstring strain that will keep him out of action for at least one week.
Without Stephen Curry the Warriors achieved their victory through team-wide collaboration. Buddy Hield scored 24 points while Draymond Green produced 18 points from four three-pointers as Jimmy Butler achieved a near triple-double with 20 points alongside 11 rebounds and eight assists . Golden State prevented Minnesota from shooting over 40% and created 16 turnovers through their defensive efforts.
The Timberwolves had an offensive struggle in Game 1 as they only scored 5 out of 29 three-point shots. Anthony Edwards produced the top performance with 23 points and 14 rebounds but their team performance was limited by widespread shooting problems.
Minnesota has the upper hand in Game 2 because Curry will not play while the Timberwolves plan to make strategic offensive changes.
