609. Los Angeles Sparks  vs  610. Atlanta Dream

Take: 610. Atlanta Dream -8.5 (4 pt / 7 et)

Jim Feist's FREE Play for Monday features the Atlanta Dream hosting the Los Angeles Sparks.

Atlanta gets a great bounce-back opportunity in this one after stumbling during their recent stretch. Their opponent won't roll out its full lineup again, as the Sparks will be without key contributors Cameron Brink and Kelsey Plum. Those absences really hurt LA because it takes away a great deal of scoring, rim protection and playmaking ability. Dream essentially have a clear advantage on both ends of the floor.

Atlanta has been one of the league’s stronger home teams this season, and they’re led by Allisha Gray and a balanced offense that’s capable of scoring inside and outside. If Angel Reese plays even a partial role, that gives Atlanta another big advantage in terms of rebounding and second-chance buckets.

Los Angeles did win two games in a row, but those victories came against subpar opponents. Atlanta has the better roster overall, the far stronger rebounding presence and the home-court advantage. Dream should be able to dictate the tempo, control the paint and pull away in the second half.
